One of the dwellers in my game is an Animist Druid with an Ash staff. She has Nature’s Child and only 2 ranks in Sacred Wood Binding, and yet that’s enough that WITHOUT ANY METAS WHATSOEVER, Forest’s Gaze is basically Heal +14. And that number gets even crazier once you start using Amplify, getting more tanks in sacred wood binding, or using it in conjunction with another another player’s area of effect heal.
Nature’s Child and Ash Wood give a +1 bonus “to any healing you perform or receive.” Question is, though, do performing and receiving stack? Meaning, for instance, with nature’s child, ash, and 2 ranks in SWB, if a Druid were to cast a healing spell on themselves, is that a +3 bonus for either performing or receiving the Heal, or is +3 for performing and another +3 for receiving? The second one seems pretty excessive, especially if they get Stitch Kindred, but I can also see how one might interpret it as such.
Side Note: obviously drinking a healing potion, a Druid would get their healing bonus, but what if they spent an action to pour that potion down someone else’s throat? Would that count as performing a Heal and grant the bonus, or no because the potion is the one doing the work?

Re: Druids and Disgusting Amounts of Healing
Alright lets break this down
Apples of Idun: This spell generates a revitalizing dweomer that Heals +4 immediately and Heals +4 at the next Move action
Ash staff +2 focus
Natures child +1
Sacred Wood Binding +2 Both Active and Passive power heal effects boosted by +1 per rank in Sacred Wood Binding
So a total 9 healing.
your player cant stack a SWB with an ash staff in my opinion since that two sources that give +2 but also you need to CRAFT your SWB stave or wand."Druids can create and bind a personal wand or staff made from sacred wood" you cant just do it with a regular old ash staff and stack them. not to mention. make sure your player does all the crafting wryding as that helps balance the pacing for that!
so Really 7 healing, and then another 7 when they move. (sure 14)
They can get up to a +3 with also if they are surrounded by Alkas due to it being a {Verwandlung
Spell}
(so possibly 20)
While this is strong, its a pretty centralized build. and there are ways to deal with this kind of character who focuses on equipment. steal their staff mid combat =D legit they wont expect it and if the lack any runes to defend themselves they cant stop you.
or the classic, poke them when they use all their runes for one spell, to interupt them and then "awww no healies"
or just give them the ol'zerg rush
potions
I would say they dont get their ash staff or SWB bonus since they are not casting a spell, but otherwise they get their other bonuses

Re: Druids and Disgusting Amounts of Healing
1. Not the ash staff from the equipment list in CRB. The ash option from SWB table, which gives the Heal bonus, not focus.
2. You are an evil, evil GM lol. Taking the staff away is a great idea which I may or may not have to do in an upcoming boss fight lol. Especially since now she’s planning on remaking it as a wand so she can get even bigger healing buffs lol.
3. Makes sense on the potions.

I also recommend tossing it off a edge or breaking it in their face to really rub in the salt =D
