Canon?

I just finished reading Horn of the Kraken and was just wondering if it was considered part of the FotN canon?

Not a bad read (although in need of serious editing for the huge number of errors) and definitely useful as inspiration for an adventure. My group met Erik Bloodaxe through the Intro adventure in FotN and this could certainly be used as a follow on adventure that continues to link the PCs and Bloodaxe and his wife.

The novels are getting a 2nd printing (HotK 2nd is up now). They are meant to give you a feel for the world as well as some ideas for adventure. The events in the novels may or may not influence the saga quintology (still TBD). Right now, I lean towards yes. The authors and I work closely together to ensure a character consistency as well as weighing the impacts of major events.

A second printing is probably a good idea! I have started Seith and Sword and have come across editing errors in it as well.

Interesting to hear it is probably canon as the section on the motivation of Erik's wife looks like something that could be cool to run with. We know she has plans but this is a hell of a plan! It also could be a very interesting one to rope the characters into. Who doesn't like working for someone who could be quite mad/ highly motivated?

I am looking forward to the revelations in Seith and Sword to see what I might be able to use for the game!

I have been told that Seith and Sword helps with figuring out Seithkona and Blacksmiths, the expansion book builds on that.

Because Vargiesa is in the mix, you'll find some small details of Jotun followers and the Eyes of Loki.
