Hahah ah okay, gotcha. Didn't realise :) I'll need to hang myself from the World Tree for thrice three days to gain the knowledge necessary, soon indeed!

We are getting to the end of the BETA. We may have a couple of more updates, but as the main content is nailed down and we move into the complete+polish stage the updates will end. So a reminder to all BETA testers, if you had more suggestions, send em over now, otherwise we'll consider them for War of Shadow in 2017.

One big thing we will be focusing on at GenCon in the First Exposure hall is the new proposed skills system.

Every skill has a meta. If you play the rune bound to the skill, you get an opportunity to evoke the meta (even if the skill isn't bound the the Trait you are looking for).

METAS:
"Yes": you gain a +1 to a skill check vs the universe
"Yes,But": you gain a +2 to a skill check (vs. universe) but you must offer up a (negative?) side-effect. If you unable or the Norn disagrees with your proposed side-effect, the Norn will provide one.
"Fortune": this is only applicable if you failed your check. Something positive will come out of it down the road.
"No": you apply a -2 to an opponent's opposed skill check (example Sneak vs Perception)
"Hel,No": you apply a -3 to an opponent's opposed skill check, but you must offer up a (negative?) side-effect. If you unable or the Norn disagrees with your proposed side-effect, the Norn will provide one.

A skill can have any configuration of those 3. Usually a skill meant to be "vs. universe" will not have "no" and Hel,no" as options.

Anyone game to try it out at their home game?

The one side-effect is that it does raise the potential numbers, meaning things like Crafting will need an adjustment to difficulty (or we apply one across the board if this system is used).
