In Fafnir's Treasure (pdf) the Maiden of Ratatosk with a mental void rune is given the active power 'Shatter Mind: Deal +2 Mental damage and disregard 1 Mental defence. {Spell} [Amplify Area Amplify]'
In the main core rulebook (also pdf) Shatter Mind doesn't appear. Instead the Maiden is given 'Sunder Mind: Deal 3 M damage and ignore 2 M defence. {Spell} [Range Area Amplify]'
Is there a reason why the power changed from core rulebook to Fafnir's Treasure? The core rulebook power is stronger and has a range meta.
Are there other powers in Fafnir's Treasure that are different from the core rulebook?

Yes, several are different. You'll also note things like crossbow instead of longbow, some monsters don't have the same powers, etc.
Fafnir's presents a somewhat simplified version of FOTN. Thus, some things are changed. I also suspect they were written at different times and there was some system evolution in the middle there.
It ends up not being a major deal unless you cross them over. In that case, the Norn can just work with the affected player and make the adjustments.

thanks! as you say there are quite a few changes. I think maybe for Fafnir's Treasure this power was changed to balance out Unencumbered Dodger, which is more powerful here.

I ran two sessions of Fafnir's at Carnage Con this past weekend, using a mix of the pregen characters from Fafnir's, the ones from DotN, and characters created by the players. The rules were mostly by the core rule book, but I used the versions of Actives, Passives and skills on the pregen sheets for those characters.
It all worked together smoothly. So, yes, some of the powers are defined differently, but it is not a major thing in game play.
