Well, I really just kinda winged it with the Heroscape stuff. I've never actually played Heroscape itself, but someone left a box of Heroscape terrain and minis, Dreamblade minis, and some assorted other junk at my house, so I figured I'd give it a try. It seems pretty cool.

I would probably do one tile as being more like 5 feet or so, if I got serious about it - that way, it represents one movement space. However, one would also want to give some sort of advantage, perhaps, for being on high ground - otherwise, why waste movement climbing a hill? (unless it's the only way to get somewhere, of course).

I would probably want to get more terrain first, though - I don't really have all *that* much of it. I want to try and do something more coherent with it the next time I run the scenario, though.

hrm, alright.

My thinking with the 1' is to give it some notion of verisimilitude for heights and cover. 5 tiles high would cover a regular mini. I might go with 4 and instead say 1 tile = 1 size, but that starts to break down at higher levels of size (10 high tree is like 25' tall in FotN terms)

Guys I'm not normally a stickler for topics of conversation, but I'd kindly ask you guys to spin off a new thread for terrain. I'd like to keep this thread purely for evangelist posts. Thanks! :)

Now that the book is out, we could use some help in updating the Wikipedia page, as well as entering a new game-book entry in RPGGeek, not to mention some online reviews. :) For a small dev studio, evangelism is critical to survival. Hope you guys have a great read this weekend!

The fullness of my opinion of DOTN is expressed on DTRPG as a review.

We've finally kicked off our campaign. I'm getting everything ready to post on our website. I told my players they could have an extra level if they sent me their dweller's background. The three that sent me theirs really dived into the Norse flavor and typed up mini sagas. I'm also giving them 1/2 a level if they type up a summary of our saga from their dweller's perspectives. I've got one of those already. They should make for some fun reading.

I'm hoping to have it all ready to go and posted this weekend. I'll let you know when I've done so.

Here's the site http://dicehaven.com/

Alright. The FoTN:R portion of the site is up and running. Complete with dweller backgrounds, a summary of our saga, and a brief page of info about the game itself. We'll be playing once a month and I'll post new stuff as it develops.

On the info page, I've got a link to Pendelhaven's main site and forums. I also put a link to Raleel's dweller creation walkthrough, because it's well done and I figured why reinvent the wheel. That way anyone that ends up following our game and wants to take a closer look at the game system itself, they'll have some places to go.

I'm planning on added a section with maps so we can keep track of where we've been and where we are going.

Here's a direct link to it:
