Re: What music do you play in the background?

I made a Seith and Sword Playlist on Spotify. Most of it contains songs I listened to while writing it. Some of it contains songs that remind me of the novel. Lots of Ensiferum, which is fitting given it's Kalevala content in the novel: * The Call of the Mountains - Eluveitie * In My Sword I Trust -...

Re: Open Beta subscription thread

Sorry for the delay folks.

We're gathering a little more feedback before releasing the open Beta. I'm hoping to get it soon.

In the meantime, I'm working on another Vanagard story, one that features two rather shifty characters. ;)

Re: Open Beta subscription thread

We've got some pretty awesome feedback in this thread: http://www.fateofthenorns.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=605 , some of which I'm rolling into the next beta. I'm hoping the let's play format I'm taking with the game makes it a snap to understand. Looking forward to what you folks have to ...

Re: Post Breakout Con Feedback

Awesome, this is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for.

I'll limit the recovery of always-ready cards till the end of the story. I'll also look into getting some of those cards for myself.

I look forward to seeing you at CanGames.

Re: Post Breakout Con Feedback

Yes,

Just offered to run Vanagard for it. I would be fine if you'd like to run a session as well. We could definitely meet up and discuss things beforehand.

Re: Post Breakout Con Feedback

That feedback is incredibly helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to write it out. We'll definitely go with the changes with Nature and Spells. I'll make a note to add some pregens into the mix. Perhaps based off the characters from the youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0tjHf8YnU...

Re: Post Breakout Con Feedback

I've done some thinking and here's what I'm adding to the Beta, for now. ---------- Nature Cards - Each have three talents bound to them, these must make sense for the animal. IE: -- Raven: Chase, Lead, Speak Wise -- Bear: Hunt, Speak Wise, Work -- Cat: Chase, Hunt, Play - When you spend it you redu...

Re: Post Breakout Con Feedback

Thank you very much for the feedback. The game is still evolving and you've given us some excellent things to ponder. ---------- In the Beta help his much more robust. Essentially, you draw a normal hand, as if you're facing the challenge yourself. and you have all the options to reduce the difficul...

Vanagard RPG - Bi-Weekly Viking Mayhem

Some old friends of mine have joined me in Ottawa. We just started gaming on Fridays, last Friday I ran the RPG version of Vanagard for them. They let me run Ragnarok with Vanagard rules so I can playtest more. I made two small tweaks to accommodate: * Rather than using Nature Cards, I shifted to Ar...

Re: Canon?

I have been told that Seith and Sword helps with figuring out Seithkona and Blacksmiths, the expansion book builds on that.

Because Vargiesa is in the mix, you'll find some small details of Jotun followers and the Eyes of Loki.
