Can a meta tag be played multiple times on one chain? For example, Power Attack has a physical amplify meta. If I play my base rune for Power Attack, can I attach as many physical runes I want to it to amplify as much as I want?

yep! as many as you have runes in your Wyrd. So if you have 5 runes, 4 of them are red and your power attack, you can have a Amp 4x power attack.

Holy Niflheim that feels broken. But I guess it balances since denizens can do it too.

I like to think of fate of the Norns as Viking anime. The numbers can get very large. It seems ridiculous. It's part of the fun of the game, actually... making some crazy stuff like that.

There is a thread around here somewhere with a blacksmith who did a parry of 125 damage, then was going to reflect it back on 3 separate targets for 125 each.

yeah, this - It also balances due to being able to freely choose how much runes you use for offense and how many you reserve for defense.
E.g.: Playing a power and then Amplifying it with all your characters (red) runes will for sure SMORC one enemy.. but if there's another enemy standing he can use your characters weakness that round...
