 Post subject: Abate on Death Charge

Giant wolf does death charge with two amplifies, runs over a character with an Abate meta , they defend, activate the abate removes an amplify from the death charge....

So damage , pierce and move all drop at that point?

My players would be pretty crabby if it didn't, but it seems weird that it would remove everything. Removing the multi is in the same boathouse.

I would like some clarification on death charge as well, does amplify actually double the move action, the bonus to the move action or just the damage? if it doubles the move action, does it also double the move action on trample?

Amplify doubles all numeric final figures, but that is not the focus of this thread

So for Abate, yes thats how we played it, my wolf ran over three dwellers, the first took the full brunt, the second activated a passive on a magic shield as part of a defend action (minor sacrafice) to remove one amplify ( of 2 ) on the death charge, lower the damage on him and the next target by one level of amplify and reducing the wolf's movement.

..the later ultimatey did for the wolf as my awesome run over everyone and end far away plan...stalled...

I have tightened up the language for Abate to cover multi-source powers which have successive effects. Will go live with the next BETA update
