Given your approach to Wyrd and Alkas, what's your take on Ley Lines of Power? Focus on Alkas are probably a close second.

Funny you should mention that! One of my weekly players (maybe 2 of them) also threw out the idea of Alkas and Focus being incompatible. I see the QR to power building block not working as well as in let's say a {spell} Active power. But I'm not giving up just yet, I think I can make it work.

Yeah that +6 is on my to-do list too- LOL!

That's funny. Well may Odin grant you lots o' luck and inspiration to make it work. If you can do it bro, that would be awesome.

While were're nerfing the Druid, consider more work on Inner Sanctum. I think it was Tshober who said it popped out as crazy. Well considering Fimbulwinter it's like a miracle cure for cancer. I have no clue what you could modify, but it still "feels" too powerful. You know me I'm a numbers guy, so I can't suggest anything there LMAO!

I've just headed over to Vigridr to check your feedback- yes please check the other values for Rune Reserve.

I think the original Inner Sanctum may have very well felt like heaven during Fimbulwinter, but I think the current version keeps it less crazy at low levels, but makes it into something nice at high levels. The limitation of resources staying within the sanctum is what makes it work. But I do see your point that why would anyone leave the comfort and security given the hell on earth that is Fimbulwinter. Well perhaps it can come across as incarceration after a while... comfortable incarceration. Hence Ivar Ironroot's proclivity to meddle with Evingard and the mine.

A built based on 2 active powers out of 8 is really weak. if you don't get a raging ability you lose life for nothing and to keep replenish the alkas you need to lose even more life. I saw your built and all I saw was a shortcut to death, with all the respect. you can't move for free and you can't go into rage on command. in 1 word flawed

I'm looking for extreme abuse and with Blacksmith, a QR 4 infused with Offering to Hel and Tactical Advantage it's a done deal.
Alka Mastery refreshes and Tac Adv runs through with 0 rune cost.

we are talking with ideal wyrd and ideal condition. we cannot forget the enemies. if you don't get raging abilities and contingency healing abilities your probably will take more damage before you can heal any. you cannot use all 4 alkas that means that somebody, even enemies can use that 4th you left unused against you. and if you are not 1st in initiative it's easy that the enemy will steal your alkas during upkeep if they have tactical advantage. you need to be first and you need to be able to survive 1 entire round with half your life points. not that great of a deal

The build is definitely more defensible at low levels (8-10) than the teens (13+) where opponents will be able to mess up some timing, heals and runes in wounds piles. However the question is: 4 alkas for Wyrd 1 amount to 8 levels. Should someone come up with a streamlined version of picking up those runes, is the built in penalty of Major Sac +1 enough for the benefit? Rage turns the penalty into a bonus.
