So one of my Dewllers built himself a Seithkarl with a Raven as Familiar. After wyrding the Rune for his new friend, we wondered: why has this animal the Passive Power "Witch Blood" but nothing that works in any way with the Possession?

He have two theories:
1.) The Seithkona/karl can use the Possession of the Familiar for her/his own Seith-Bonus.
2.) The Spells in the Ravens Active-Power-Grid are Seith Spells.

What's your opinion on that topic?

Well, witch blood gives you +1 focus for the posesssion by itself. It doesn't need to be a seith spell.

I'll grant that it is not the best option right out of the gate though ;)

Edit: actually, let me rework that, now that I've had some coffee. If your seithkona has Purge Foreign Spirits, it's actually quite good. Consider a Raven with Witch Blood and Invigorate Spirit. Consider the Seithkona with Purge Foreign Spirits. The raven makes the sacrifice and gets possessed, but his only rune is in the stun pile. Then the seithkona spends a rune to purge foreign spirits and heals him AND removes the possession, but this should (ahem) leave the Focus bonus in place. Now the seithkona has spent an action so that his raven can toss him PF+1S, Evade+1, and Heal +2 each once per round, and one of them gets a +1 bonus (you should pick Evade, most likely)

This actually works better than the other options, to some extent, because you don't have to keep healing the raven. Companion in Magic and Fellowship of the Magic Eye both require a sacrifice every round to maintain, which in turn requires you to keep healing your familiar (which may not be an issue for whatever reason, but still). Alabaster magician is a +2 sacrifice, so that's going to be an even bigger sting.

You still have to get to two runes in the raven to be able to maintain that, though.

Possession has always been a hinky thing. One could argue that the raven is being possessed by the seithkona, or someone else.

Ok, that makes sense when the Seithkona and the Familiar share ont initiative-tile.
