Anyone have any recommendations for a saga that includes a bit of story (or more) about getting a bride, or especially a husband? Looking at putting together an adventure for this.

I can't recall off the top of my head, but I know some of the longer sagas that deal with multi-generation conflicts do get into some wedding details. Top ones that come to mind: Egil's saga, Laxardal saga and perhaps in Heimskringla (king sagas). Good luck! :)

Thanks. Those were the ones I could think of as well.

I'm kinda easing my folks into fate of the norns, so norse campaign and using runes for things, but not a full FOTN system. Honestly, gotten to the point where I'm just going to get another group and do FORN for them and another system for my current group ;)

Your current group getting bogged down in RGS combat rather than role-play? Remember Active non-combat effects as well as generic/cinematic actions.

We had this discussion at FanExpo and it appears a few people missed the whole "rule #0" of RGS (perhaps my own fault with layout choices). Any rune can be any cinematic action (page 96). In hindsight I should have bolded that section and pointed to it as being the foundation rule zero. RGS can be played without active powers and a few players once realizing this performed some pretty interesting actions with their runes while in tense (not always combat) situations. Anyhow good luck! :)

No, I'm not using FOTN for it - partially because I didn't hear about FOTN until AFTER the kickstarter and campaign, partially because they can be resistant to change and I didn't want to abuse them too much. However, I am using runes and aetts as sort of an easing in.
