On the Galdr archetype it is mentioned that a Galdr can inscribe runes into an object or a person.

There is no mention however of what is the process and cost of inscribing said rune into an object or a person in terms of roleplay and game mechanic.

Is it a similar process to the Scorn Pole ? Skill check ? Does it cost anything to the one it is being inscribe on ?

Are the runes that can be inscribed the ten runes present in the passive powers ? Or can you also inscribe the rune spell ?

You can inscribe the rune Passives only. One per instance of the passive. Note, they deactivate within a certain radius of each other.

I think the cost is largely meant to be free. I generally require some time (like a minute) but otherwise don't overly penalize for the ability. It already has the "no multiple instances within a radius" penalty.

Welcome to the boards!

Thanks !

And thanks for the info.

I suppose it balances itself out then.

But I think I'd rather have it the other way around. It costing something without the deactivation radius. Or maybe just limiting it to one instance per Galdr. I don't like the idea of two characters in the same party being forced either to constantly stand X feet apart, or to have different runes.

As a general note for game design: things like components (verbal, somatic, material) are omitted. Gaming groups are encouraged to add as much as they feel comfortable with. Same goes for ammunition- the game doesn't force anyone to count arrows, but again, if the group wants to, they are more than welcome. :)
