woohoo!

I like what you did with the NPCs. very nice.

I've not used obsidian portal myself. I might just start because of this, though I have a google site I use extensively.

Wow, nice.
So much work done :geek:

Eager to see how your story pans out, reading about Viking campaigns is almost as good as playing :)

Not as excited as the players were.....

SO.... this is how it went

...my wife was checking out of hospital on Sunday after surgery...started check out around 11 AM...we finally left at 5 PM...got home by 6 PM. Settled her in and headed to the store about 8 PM...got there around 8:30 PM

And THAT is how you kick off the first session.....

Fortunately for the players I knew by 2 PM it was going to take a while so I didn't have them all turn up and get excited and then sit around doing nothing

So Stay tuned ... for March 13th

Yeah, we're performing all the appropriate sacrifices to ensure his wife's speedy recovery. Out of genuine concern, of course - not for selfish "i want to be a viking bear that eats faces" reasons.

Not that "I want to be a Viking bear that eats faces" isn't a very good reason for sacrifices. Also. That is going to be a selling point for me now with players. "Do you want to be a Viking bear that eats faces? Do you want to be a Viking wolf that eats faces?" "Who doesn't?" "Then do I have the game for you!"

" Do you want to be a Viking that wears the fur of your last character!!"

hmmmm interest thought...party is hungry, lost....no food...SO they make the berserker Angry he changes into a bear, they kill it and eat him!!! How cool is that...Dan you first death is planned for you!

So we're settled then: death in bear form means your body is a bear.

Bear curry for everyone!

First to report from Bangkok:

Two players dead in the first session - but both succesfully wyrded for afterlife Disir level, so I call it a success!

A good turnout, 5 players and our stalwart DM (khunkwai here on the boards).

I took out my bear-serker tank build and was happily surprised at how very awesomely tanky he was. He formed a key roadblock to the badguys eating the rest of the party - so his glorious death was not entirely in vain.

The system played well, I think most of the players came to the table with a pretty good reading of their powers - and we got through the session without too much start-and-stop.

A very enjoyable time was had by this player. Now looking at my Stalo to rejoin the party next session...
