I would definitely prefer wood since they'd be a bit easier to play with and lighter than metal or stone.

Any chance for a cheaper stone option? I like the idea of actual stones for the runes, but $40 a set is a bit much for my wallet.

Wood would be great, but perhaps try and make them look more authentic (ex. hand carved/non-even):-)

varnish the wood pieces after the rune is burnt in. using the red, green and blue coding
