Fate of the Norns

The middle part of the Kickstarter campaign has stalled out due to my time being split between hospital, home and the office, no real time to promote. It looks like this campaign may only get 1 new player archetype and some backers have been vocalizing what they would like to see as the +1.

The fact that we have new pantheons unlocked from the Illuminated Edda kickstarter, means those worlds could use some representation. Backers have voiced their desire to see some Celtic, Finnish or Welsh archetypes representin'... or even Baltic and/or Skraeling/Inuit if there is a large boost in the last 24 hrs.

So before we hit the +1 player archetype stretch goal I open up the reward to a vote. To summarize, you already get the Angel of Death, Missionary, Orlog and Godi. These were must-haves. The next few are nice to have. Which extra one would you like to see?

Amber Sorcerer (Baltic)
Fenian Clansman (Celtic/Welsh)
Noaidi (Finnish/Sami)
Voelva (Norse)
Angakkua (Inuit/Skraeling)

New player archetypes take time to develop because we infuse each with unique rune-play. For example we look at DotN, the Berserkir has the ability to consume Rage, Sceadugengan has powers which toggle based on the intensity of Shroud, Fardrengir has their own new metas, Stalo uses Flow for extra rune draw... and already in LotA we see that the Angel of Death can draw runes from the Drain pile. So not only is the narrative and power load out unique, there is interesting rune-play design that adds depth to the "game within the game".

If these archetypes don't make it into Lords of the Ash, will they eventually make it into War of Shadow? Honestly, I can't pick, I want them all. I'll do some extra promotion to help out.

Mamama thanks for backing! Yes the last 2 weeks have been trying but we're out of the woods now. I think anything in-demand that doesn't make it into LotA will show up in a subsequent book. I don't think WoS would be the best place for those archetypes, but I have a few ideas for some of the other books in the roadmap.

We also have FOTN:R Bestiary and Vanagard to Kickstart in 2016.
