@raleel: It's on Drivethroughrpg for me.

@Andrew:
Where exactly / what exactly are you looking forward to get tested this update ?
You mentioned some past time that you'd rather have focused feedback on certain questions, so is there anything that we should try to break/inspect more carefully for this drop ?
Or rather get general comments again ?

The new version is up!
Only thing not fully filled out for the new content is the Karst skill board. The Alpha test team is ambivalent as to how many instances of the scalar skills should be on that board.

Another clarification would be the design ideas behind the number of Godi patrons. It may seem that there is a clear benefit to having more than 1 patron, and that it's a no brainer. However the incentive for multi-patrons is there to offset the stacking benefit achieved with only 1 patron (hyper specialize). I leave it up to the Beta crowd to value both approaches.

Have fun! :)

When does the second wave of beta (aka we picked it up during the illuminated Edda KS) get a crack at it?

Raleel: We're waiting on a few straggler payments for the early access to the BETA before sending it out- best estimate Monday morning.

Audun: There are 2 player archetypes and 2 denizens to date, so both would be good for testing. Since Godi will have so many permutations given the sub-board mechanics, I think that would need constant feedback with every drop. I'm still torn between Tshober vs. theRajjj's approaches to the AoD, so any more feedback is always welcome.

The new version is up, and we're going to test Rajjj's idea. You've been a great voice during past BETA's so we'll give your idea a go. :)

New Aod
New meta
New powers/skills
New Godi patron

New drop this afternoon! It's a really big change in size with the new appendix. It should act as a great springboard for those who wish to invent godis for the BETA.

AoD tweak
New Godi patron
New powers and skills
Miracles
Who's Who appendix

Wow that's a big who's-who list. It's a very useful list too. I know my Viking lore, but I'm definitely learning new stuff with the latest appendix. That list could be printed (along with DotN well known denizens) as it's own stand alone book. Think about it, a pock denizen book for a Norn to keep in their back pocket. Well it's going to add value to LotA for sure. Will it be included in tIE?

On another note, I read Miracle rules and I think they should be folded in with divine magic/spells. You can probably have Miracles create an surprising effect (defined by Norn) while the divine magic is defined by the AP's. What do you think? There are too many similarities and not enough differences IMHO.

Drop BETA drop!
- New Forge Beast
- New patron (Baldur)
- and a few small additions throughout

There may be another drop before next week- AoD is getting some tweaks and the who's who appendix has been expanded.

Tshober, I'm glad you're enjoying the new lore! As for the merge, there are a few diffs, namely blot/faining, but I will definitely consider it!

ooooooooh, Baldur!

Though, I gotta ask. Risabarn?
Child of a Risar? Is that what your are naming the Ogres? Risar?

In Icelandic and Norse folklore, Risa or Risi are benevolent giants. In previous editions we had Disir rewards of Risi bloodlines, but with Ragnarok 2012 we went with Troll bloodlines instead (a little more dark and gritty). Using my handy old Icelandic dictionary I found a derivative of Risi which was Risabarn. A "child giant" would be a good name for Jotun-Dvergar spawn. They would also make for a perfect "forge-beast" given their ancestry. I aim to have a forge beast from every realm.

Ogres are another story all together. They are the most populous race in Jotunheim, and on occasion Jotun-Ogre unions occur, which produce the mutated Ettins. With the release of the Illuminated Edda, Jotunheim will have a pretty comprehensive history, geography and sociology. :)
