Ooh, I got this one too :) bit hard to paint, but il looks cool. I don't use it in my games though, too afraid my clumsy players will accidentally smash it :)

I'm trying to adapt rules from the X-Wing miniature games for naval battles, but I couldn't find very small longship miniatures (about 5cm in length max.), any advice, or should I get wood and carving tools ready?

My quick google didn't find anything. Closest I got was sails of glory by Ares games.

I'd like to migrate this conversation to the "Sea Battles" thread:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=234&p=1359#p1359

I've had quite a few thoughts on an RGS system for this. Also one of our local game shops is massively into every minis game under the sun so their ideas were a very good sounding board. Is there enough demand for a naval skirmish game/supplement that seamlessly flows to and from the RPG narrative?

I like 15mm. I do skirmish gaming, usually on very small (by Wargames standards) tables. I like to fool myself that 15mm are less expensive, but really it means I just buy more. One advantage is that it is easier to find very large monsters. A giant from a 28mm line towers over 15mm figures and a dragon that is merely huge in 28mm is positively COLOSSAL in 15mm. The toy shop can be a good place to find monsters and mythological creatures on the cheap.

Blood Rage minis are amazing for Fate of the Norns. I highly recommend them. If you don't enjoy painting then maybe they aren't for you.
